The Masked Blue Fox

  • Created 2017 as an assignment to write a poem about a book without mentioning the title of the book. Based on "The Great Gatsby." Eyes are gleaming, head still dreaming. He listened for her reply. Cared not for parties, it was one big blur. But he did it all for her. He hid in his box...waiting...yearning deceiving... For he was a masked blue fox. So hidden away behind closed doors. No one knew he was once poor. The fox surrounded himself with luxury. But to why his room was plain was a mystery. "Daisy! Daisy!" he cries. What are truths and what are lies? The green light shines like it is meant to last Though the fox was stuck in his past. He closed his eyes, and accepted his fate. He only wished for one last date."
