I am surrounded by flashes of blue. I feel a slick, smooth touch on my salty hands. The breeze carried hot, fiery beams of sun along its cool invisible trail. Everywhere I look, there are flashes of yellows, blacks, and silver. Across the rippling waters smiles a dolphin. The dolphin was smooth and gray. It moved with such speed, I could have sworn I saw lightening. The shinny nosed creature danced and leaped over its shimmering dance floor. As it plummeted into the swirling, disturbed water, the dolphin pops its head up and squeals, "eeh, eeh!" Such a playful thing. I swim towards the large, 9 1/2 foot mammal. It's dark, mirroring eyes lock with mine. Then, bouncing out the corner of my eye comes a basketball. What is a basketball doing in the water? The dolphin looks at the spherical ball floating amongst the blue, green of the ocean. Zip! Goes the cheerful dolphin! It starts bouncing and spinning the basketball on its wet nose. Fascinated and amused, I watch the dolphin master the art of balancing a basketball on its shiny nose. Quick moments later, we have come face to face. It's already time to say our solemn goodbyes? I leaned in for a hug, but instead I got a wet, firm kiss with the shiny nosed creature. I will never forget that hot, sunny day where I played and kissed a dolphin.
